What Qualifies For News In Parma

So, apparently this is the hot goss.

If you don't have the patience to watch it, it's basically about an 11 year old boy farting on the school bus.  Then he got detention over it.   He thought it was funny, what 11 year old boy doesn't?....wait a second....what man at any age doesn't find that amusing...don't ask me why, it must be something hardwired into men's DNA.

Really?!  Detention for just farting, I mean when I was 11 I think there were a few boys who tried to fart along to Jingle Bells...I'm not kidding (and no, they didn't get detention.)  This poor kid doesn't even have any real "talent" to his farting...and he's still in trouble.

Obviously they missed that episode of Oprah.  You know, the one with Dr. Oz where he said that everybody passes gas something like 14 times a DAY.

Apparently this is what PASSES for news around there.  (haha...I know, I crack myself up too!)

  1. Um, yeah. I was walking down the hallway in the courthouse with a dude friend of mine who happens to be 36. He farted and started laughing hysterically. I looked at him and said "Dude, at what age do farts stop being funny?" He looked at me and said...

    "NEVER!!"

Then proceeded to fart again and laugh like a mental patient.

You know what? He is freaking right.

    Farts are hilarious!!

  2. In my day, yes I'm an old dude. In my day, in high school, you actually could get paid by other students for farting. This one guy was totally awesome at farting. He'd let out a gigantic cheek clapper in French class and it was so bad that the classroom had to be evacuated. We all hated French class and he had loads of Canadian dollars:-)
A very funny posting and thanks for sharing, I think.
Kind wishes and a bit of wind, your way, Gary:-)

  3. Dad: "Depends how much more gas he has." That made me laugh :)

It annoyed me whenever the woman said 'quote' before a quote. Yes love, we do know it's a quote, after all you did say 'this is what they said' and the whole text does have "quotation marks" around them.

Ahh Mel... I'm going to add you to my list of favourite blogs :) I don't know why I didn't in the first place.

  4. Are you kidding me? I work with all guys, mostly in their early 30's, and they all find farts HILARIOUS. The only thing they like to talk about more than farts is poop.

  5. Amber: see..need I say more...grown men still find farting hilarious!

kla- ah the cheek clapper. I hadn't heard that one in a while!

    CKrets - of course!

Tom - I too found that a little redundant...but hey, farting made the news in Parma...I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that it isn't academic-ville...but I've been wrong before!

MonsteRawr- poop...I'll have to save that for another post!

  6. When I was very small [under 5], my grandmother used to send me to the toilet whenever I trumped [her word], so I used to wonder why everyone else could produce audible farts and I couldn't. I can now, of course, and no longer feel inhibited, but are farts funny? Only a moron would think so.

  7. Hi there,

My little one is nearly 4 years old, and she is already very girly... But ho she laugh when she passes one!
And one day I told her: Hooo stinky bum, now the room will stink.
And she replied (And I won't say Quote here), "No it will smell like roses."
I said really? And she replied: "Yes, but if it was you it would smell like poo..." And burst laughing...
So I am not sur that in the years to come she will still enjoyed it as much, but so fare, she's a real star at it...

Now if this is in the news, the positive of it is that nothing really bad happened on this day...

    Have a good day,
    Me.
